Another Smiling Newborn | Portland Baby Photographer

After recently posting how rare it is to catch a newborn smiling, I catch another one!  What can I say?  Babies love having me photograph them ;)  This family was great to work with, especially because they left me to work with baby for most of the session while they were off doing their own thing. Sometimes I (half jokingly) tell my newborn photography clients to think of me as a couple hours of babysitting. I understand some parents are a little nervous and not as comfortable being far from their new baby, but it usually results in better images when I have space to work. Not only is it easiest for me when I’m able to freely move and pose the baby, but it often keeps baby calmer when parents are not close by where baby can hear and smell them.  And here’s a quick sneak peek..
